Of the history and natural treasures that belong to Nerja, the Caves are a good place to start if you would like to learn more cultural information in this emblamatic spot of the Andalusian coast.

The Caves and their concerts are very important. There are many painting on the cave walls that are very much worth seeing. Nerja also offers theater and concerts in the Cultural Center. You can enjoy watching flamenco shows, as well as sit in one of the many bars´terraces and observe the traditional andalusian shows they give. The Department of Culture offers you the possibility to participate in activities related to dance, photography, and painting.

Of the monuments that you must not forget to visit in this area is the Balcon de Europa (Europe´s balcony; a breathataking view), or the Hermitage of Our lady of Angustias. The church of the the Virgen Maravillas and the Aguila Aqueduct are also definate must sees!
